Questions about SaaSfolio

Everything you need to know about tracking your software investments, getting started, and getting the most out of SaaSfolio.

SaaSfolio is a financial analytics dashboard for tracking the performance of your software investments. If you buy lifetime deals, manage SaaS subscriptions, resell licenses, or run an agency with multiple tools — SaaSfolio shows you the ROI, revenue, profit, and breakeven status of every tool in your portfolio.
SaaSfolio is built for anyone who buys or manages software as a financial asset. That includes lifetime deal buyers, AppSumo power users, agency owners, SaaS resellers, indie hackers, micro-SaaS founders, and digital entrepreneurs who want financial clarity on their tool investments.
A spreadsheet can store data. SaaSfolio calculates it, visualizes it, and surfaces insights automatically. Per-tool ROI, portfolio-wide profit, MRR tracking, breakeven timelines, client mapping, revenue growth charts, and monthly reports — all calculated and updated as you log revenue. You'd need a very complex spreadsheet to replicate even half of what SaaSfolio does out of the box.
Any software you've purchased or subscribe to. Lifetime deals, annual subscriptions, monthly SaaS products, WordPress plugins, themes, licenses you've bought for resale — anything with a purchase price and potential revenue.
Yes. Not every tool in your portfolio is a revenue generator, and that's fine. SaaSfolio will show its cost as an investment with zero returns, which is valuable information in itself. You can see which tools are pure expenses and decide whether they're worth keeping.
ROI is calculated as (Total Revenue - Purchase Price) / Purchase Price, expressed as a percentage. This is calculated per tool and across your entire portfolio. A tool that cost $100 and earned $250 has an ROI of 150%.
MRR stands for Monthly Recurring Revenue. If you have tools that generate recurring subscription income — for example, licenses you resell on a monthly basis — SaaSfolio tracks that revenue stream separately from one-time sales. This gives you a clear picture of predictable, recurring income.
Yes. SaaSfolio's client management feature lets you create a client database, map tools to specific clients, track revenue per client, and calculate lifetime client value. This is especially useful for agencies and resellers.
Yes. SaaSfolio's free tier lets you track up to 10 tools with basic portfolio metrics and per-tool ROI. No credit card required.
Yes. There are no contracts or lock-in periods. Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel at any time.
Yes. SaaSfolio uses industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest. Your financial data is private and will never be shared or sold.
Not yet through direct integration, but this is on our roadmap. Currently, you add tools manually, which takes about 1-2 minutes per tool. We're building import features to make this faster.
SaaSfolio is evolving into a full financial operating system for software owners. Upcoming features include platform integrations, CSV import/export, team collaboration, API access, and advanced forecasting models. We build in public — check our blog for updates.
